Chemotherapy wafers are a form of chemotherapy that can be placed in a brain cavity after a tumor has been removed. They are about the size of a nickel and are made of a polymer that has been filled with BCNU, a standard form of chemotherapy. The University of Cincinnati Brain Tumor Center is an active participant in clinical trials that use wafer technology.
